Shipping Timeframe

We work hard to make sure you receive healthy plants that will lead to a thriving wildlife garden. Our growers nurture your plants until the timing is best to send them your way.Shipping windows are largely based on the temperature where you’re planting and usually begin after the last frost date for your area has passed.

What is my USDA Hardiness Zone?

Sometimes called “growing zones,” hardiness zones refer to a map developed by the USDA that separates the United States into regions based on the average low winter temperatures. The USDA Hardiness Zone Map is the standard by which gardeners and growers can determine which plants are most likely to thrive at a location. The map is based on the average annual minimum winter temperature, divided into 10-degree F zones and further divided into 5-degree F half-zones.

When will my plants ship?

Find your zone to see when the approximate shipping timeframe will be. All order are filled as they are recieved, with pre-orders shipping first.

Frequently Asked Questions
  • Product Description

    • This perennial collection is perfect for either full sun or partly shady spaces with moist soils that get at least three to six hours of sun per day.

This 12-plant collection grows to fill a space up to about 8x10 feet. Featuring plants that thrive in moist soils, this rain garden collection will help filter and manage stormwater while creating habitat for butterflies, bees, and birds.

Bloom times vary for each plant (as noted below), with the collection as a whole serving wildlife for three seasons each year.

When planted in the ground, these plants will spread wider and grow taller, while also helping underground soil systems.

Healthy Plants, Packaged Well

I planted them right away. I was impressed with the packaging and the plant quality. The root system was healthy and the plants were not terribly dehydrated as many mail order plants can be.

Worth the Investment

I have been so impressed with each delivery I've received. The packaging is superb, keeping the plants in a safe, healthy state during shipping. Each plant has been healthy and strong, transplanting and thriving. Every single plant I ordered and put in my garden last year, came back strong this year - acting every bit like a 3rd year plant. I love my 3 Little Bluestem plugs and can't wait to watch them grow next year. Absolutely worth the cost!

Beautiful and Resilient!

I planted them this spring so no flowers yet but I did accidentally break the stem for two of the plants which had ALL the leaves. I thought the plant was a goner BUT it came back. The root system was strong even for the little plants and it is back to thriving again.
